Given that the EU has placed limits on the values for particle emission, the mineral oil concerns are mixing an ever-increasing amount of biofuel into classic fuels such as diesel and petrol. This can on occasion have dramatic consequences:

How does FlameArrester work?

The universal FLAMEARRESTER, which is manufactured in stainless steel and patented, is a protection system in fuel tanks that has been especially developed for maritime use. It is directly integrated into the inlets and outlets of the tank ventilation system, and prevents sources of ignition such as cigarettes or leaking fuel vapours starting a fire in areas exposed to the danger of explosion.
